![]() ![]() (Which I did later!)Love the graphics and the Music is terrific. Of course, you have to finish all the tiers in Destruction mode to get to the last battles. Made it to final stage of Destruction Mode (Easy Tier). So it is a matter of finding which attacks work against the enemies and which do not. It just is not super easy!I went back after an hour of thinking: There are only 4 attacks, Light (may be done three times as combo attacks), Heavy, Charge and Breath. ![]() I think the buildings look great! I have no idea what the whining crybabies are talking about in their negative reviews. I would buy DLC if they released Megalon. There are really cool monsters in this game. More moves can be unlocked.I just wish they had Megalon in this game. This is more fun the Save the Earth because I am older and Save the Earth, a really good game, hurts my hand when I play = too much button mashing for me now. I lost in stage 1, 2, 3 in Versus mode against the AI. this is HARD! I lost against the second monster in the Destruction mode. At first I found this wonky and cumbersome, until you realize it's real purpose: The ability to view your battle from any angle, and further replicate the movie experience, such as the classic side-view shot of two kaiju duking it out.Th. In order to rotate your monster you have to use the L1 and R2 buttons. However, when you control the camera, your monster doesn't rotate with it. ![]() You move with the left stick, and control the camera with the right stick. All in all it's really what a Godzilla game should be, and if you're familiar with the legacy of this franchise then you'll be in love. However, there are some faults, hence the 4 star rating. The controls are a bit strange. However, that doesn't mean that the 2014 character isn't here and playable. This game really excels in it's single player campaign, seamlessly letting you observe both the human side of the drama while controlling your kaiju of choice to wreak mayhem. The characters move, attack, and generally give you the vibe that you are watching an authentic Toho flick. The monsters included range all the way back to the origins of Godzilla, so if you were concerned this was a movie tie-in to the 2014 Hollywood Godzilla, don't fret. While previous titles, such as Godzilla: Unleashed took a more arcadey, action approach to the idea of kaiju battles, Godzilla on PS4 does it's best to pay homage to the movies it represents. If you're a Godzilla fan, this is essentially the game you have been waiting for. I'd say the only two I felt were missing were Titanosaurus and MOGERA, but we can always hope for DLC!The number of levels is a bit limited, wi. OH MY DETAILS!!! They've also got almost every monster you'd ever want to play as. The detail is phenomenal with each of his scales being visible, but when I finally knocked him on his faces, his feet kicked up and you could see the creases in the bottom of his feet. His lunge attack missed, and I ended up attacking him from behind - very movie-esque. What really impressed me most was one fight I had with King Ghidorah. Sure, the building destruction isn't movie quality (it's touched up PS3 graphics, whatever), but the monsters, oh the monsters! I was completely blown away with the detail from the moment Godzilla entered the screen. I've also seen some complaints about the graphics. That's pretty much all you do, but have you seen the movies? People say the game play is repetitive, but I'm not sure what else you'd expect giant monsters to do. This was a game my brothers and I grew up renting from the video store every chance we could get! This game is exactly that - you level cities and beat the crap out of Godzilla's cohorts. To me, that game more than any since captured the essence of the Toho movies, and I've always wanted it remade with modern graphics. I've played most of the Godzilla games, going back to Godzilla: Monster of Monsters on NES. After seeing a lot of the negative reviews, I figured I'd do one of my own. ![]()
